This week, I want to share a little information about Rick Storer, the director of the Leather Archives & Museum in Chicago who will be presenting a workshop on the history of Leather. Rick will also bring a few exhibits from the Leather Archives with him. If you’ve ever wondered how the Leather Community got started and how it differs from the BDSM and D/s community, Rick’s workshop is a must as it will provide you with some interesting facts.

Last month, we announced our host hotel—The Roosevelt. Please be sure to reserve your room now to receive our conference discounted rate before the rooms are all taken. Remember, if you’re coming in early to do some sightseeing, you’ll also receive the same great discounted rate two days pre/post conference. (Note: for everyone that emailed their room reservation to us, you must call the hotel and officially reserve your room with them. Not to worry, there’s no money down. Husbands:
We love the fact that several of our authors’ husbands are attending BDSM Writes Con in support of their wives; and of course, to learn a little about Dominance and submission so they can help with research and development as author, Tessie Bradford, puts it. We also have several readers who are bringing their spouses and enjoying not only a great opportunity to mix and mingle with their favorite D/s authors but also discover more about the power exchange and partake in the valuable information BDSM Writers Con has to offer. If you’re planning to bring your husband (or wife) and would like to have us include them in our “special surprise appreciation”, please let us know.

Dr. Oz:
I’m proud to share that I was on the Dr. Oz show again this past Friday. Dr. Oz & I discussed the benefits of dieting and getting healthy so you can get back into your favorite swim suit. The show is due to air, end of April. Once I know the exact date, I’ll let you all know. The reason I bring this up is because I have four VIP tickets available for four lucky winners to attend a filming the Dr. Oz show live in New York City.
