Hi all,
As we get closer to the conference, I want to remind you about all the wonderful featured authors who will be attending; eleven of whom have been nominated for our Golden Flogger Award. I also want to point out three authors in particular this week: Gabriel Garbow who creates amazing illustrations for books and our two BDSM Book Contest winners from last year who will be signing autographs on their winning books at BDSM Writers Con 2015–Kestra Gravier and Corrine A. Silver. We’re so pleased to have them with us again this year!
Check out which other authors are joining us. And remember, if you can’t attend the entire conference, be sure to come for the Book Fair & Fetish Vending on August 23 which is open to the public and is free!
Just a few quick reminders:
Our BDSM Book Contest ends May 1st, be sure to provide your stories by then to be considered. Finalists will be announced by June 1st.
Our Golden Flogger Award nominations are open till June 1st. Thus far, we’ve had 176 books nominated. Of those, only 149 meet our guidelines and were accepted. I have to say our judges are busy reading some great BDSM romance & erotica. Feel free to nominate your favorite author’s *BEST* book. Remember, this award is for excellence in BDSM storytelling, thus, choose your favorite story. If it’s already nominated, consider nominating another author you love.
June 1st is also the day early bird registration discount ends. Be sure to save by registering early. Register now and be entered to win a Rose Crop by Detail Toys.
Note: at the request of our participants, we will not offer One-Day Passes this year.
And finally, two big announcements:
First, a great big hug and applause goes out to the authors of our First Annual BDSM Writers Con Anthology which was recently announce as a Finalist for the Samois Anthology Award provided by the National Leather Association—International. Isn’t it great, two award nominations in one year!
And finally, a great big “Thank You!” to Anne Rice who lends her support to BDSM Writers Con by donating a few items for our raffle to help raise money for NCSF (the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom.)
