This week we’re joined by our Featured Author, Jessica Lee who will be signing books August 24, 2014 during our BDSM Book Signing Sunday. Though mild mannered on the outside, like Bruce Wayne, she has a wild passionate side underneath which shines through in her stories. Discover a little more about Jessica and be sure to capture her autograph during BDSM Writers Con.
Please tell us a little about yourself.
Let’s see… I’m a wife, mother, former science geek with a passion for writing romance novels filled with strong, sexy alpha male characters who bite.
Have you always wanted to be an author?
Believe it or not, if someone had told me 20 years ago that I’d end up becoming a published author, I would have sworn they were crazy. Back in college, I would drop a course if I had to write a paper. lol I just don’t think I’d found the right inspiration until later in life when I picked up my first paranormal romance.
What do you like best about writing?
The escape. Plus the feeling I get when I write “The End”. It’s a fantastic rush. And most of all, I love my readers! Nothing is better than finding a message in your inbox from a reader who has enjoyed one of books.
Please tell us about your latest release and your other works or series.
Undying Embrace, A Novel of the Enclave, book two released on October 21, 2013 from Entangled Publishing. I have two other series: Ariel Estates, m/m lion shifter world, and The KinKaid Wolf Pack, m/m and ménage wolf shifter world.
What other works do you have in progress?
Currently I’m working on book three in the Ariel Estate series, Breaking the Ice. Next, I return to finishing book four in the Enclave series. Book three, Undying Desire, I expect to release from Entangled Publishing sometime in early 2014.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to get into writing?
Never give up, and never stop honing your craft. In my opinion, no matter how long you’ve been writing, there is always something more to learn.
