Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful time and delicious meals with family, friends or with just yourself—plus, there’s still the weekend. Taking a day out of our lives to remember to be thankful for what we have is a lovely reminder to celebrate life. As for me, I’m thankful for all of you who have helped to make my dream of BDSM Writers Con a reality and your continued support to help us grow every year. As of 2016, we’ll be a bi-coastal conference spreading out to Everett Washington to allow individuals on the west coast to also benefit from all the valuable information our presenters provide.
I want to share some awesome news about our Everett conference, March 31 – April 3, 2016. During my trip to Everett this month, I had a chance to meet up with Brian from Leather Reign who will be helping us host our Ball & Dungeon Party at the hotel and attend their Dungeon. To say they ran an impressive Dungeon would be putting it mildly. The Dungeon was set up beautifully and there was plenty of room to play and observe. Plus, there was a bootblacking station where I was treated to a wonderful shine. Yes, we will host a bootblacking station during our Everett event; it’s an amazing experience.
I meet with restaurants in the area and two of our sponsors for our evening Mix & Mingles. Our “Pre-conference Kick-off party”, for those arriving early, will be held Wednesday from 7:30 to 10:00 pm at the Blue Water Distillery where the owners are creating a special signature drink for us called: Spank Me. I can’t wait to taste it! Their place is on the bay so you’ll also enjoy beautiful scenery and get to see their amazing cooper tanks where they create organic vodka and gin. Talk about delicious with no bitter aftertaste like some vodka’s tend to have. Best of all, their food and drinks are delicious and inexpensive.
I also met with the manager from Bar Myx who will be hosting our Friday night Mix & Mingle. Should I reveal the fact that all our bartenders are male and will be serving us in hot sexy designs custom made by Cut2MeDesigns. If you’ve attended prior BDSM Writers Con’s, you’ll recall Cut2MeDesigns creates erotic clothing for men and has generously donated many of their designs for our attendees to take home and share.
