Hi Everyone,

It’s been seven days since the conference and I’m still riding the high of how tremendously magnificent this year’s BDSM Writers Con was. I have to say, I think this was our best year ever!  Not only was the hotel truly a joy to work with, our participants and instructors were as well.

This year, we change up our program a bit and introduced a two new BDSM experts: Master Vito and Sappharia. We experimented with having one class versus two classes at a time. We’re still debating this issue as we love providing you all with a variety of classes to choose from and ensuring there’s always a class for authors and readers/everyone. (Please share your opinion on this option.)

Best of all, we held our very own BDSM Club Night or as we like to call it, our Taste of Dominance. This event allowed participants to not only witness a scene or BDSM activity but experience it for themselves. Our BDSM workshop instructors helped us provide various stations where participants could learn and/or experience spankings, caning, knife play, flogging, suspension, and tossing whips. We had over ten participants experience the sensation of being bound and suspended under Master Vito’s expert rigging. Other participants—both writers and readers alike—learned how to throw a whips; even our fabulous Keynote Speaker, Lynda Aicher learned how to Florentine. There’s no doubt in my mind she’ll be an expert in no time with her two Golden Flogger Awards; I can’t wait to see what else she’s going to write after this conference.

Personally, what I love most about BDSM Writes Con aside for the workshops and giving out raffle prizes, is that the conference brings so many wonderful people together from all walks of life. You never know who will share this amazing experience with you; whether it’s an aspiring author, a NY Times best-selling author, a record-breaking State Weightlifting champion, or a dedicated reader and BDSM explorer. The beauty of BDMS Writers Con is also in how everyone is respectful to each other and enjoying the time they shared in the comfortable safe environment we provide. A HUGH thanks goes out to Rose C. Carole, who helps me run the conference. And of course, I especially enjoy our Closing/Aftercare Breakfast. It’s a fabulous place to share your experiences and say goodbye.

Next year, we’ll make BDSM Writers Con even more spectacular! We will be hosting our west coast conference in Washington State. We are looking for a new location as our previous hotel in Everett was sold and the new owners do not host kink events. Never fear, it’ll be in the Seattle/surrounding area and easily accessible. I’ll be going up there in November to solidly our hotel and I’ll have more news for you about that then.  Joining us as Keynote Speaker in Washington is the amazingly talented, Roni Loren. The west coast conference is March 22 -25, 2018. If you’re considering joining us in Washington, sign up soon as this may be the last conference for the west coast in a long while.

For New York City, we’ll be hosting our conference on August 16 – 19, 2018 at the same hotel—Tryp Hotel in Manhattan. We really enjoyed the hotel and loved having the entire floor to ourselves; not to mention the extra amenities we received such as free in-room Wi-Fi and mini-frig.  For those planning to join us for next year, please feel free to register using our easy payment plan. If you attended this year’s BWC, remember you will receive a $100 discount off next year’s registration, but only if you sign up by November 1.

Please help us spread the word about BDSM Writers Con by telling friends, family and fans. If you’d like to provide a testimonial, please let me know. I’d love to have comments from both authors and readers.

A big hand of applauses for this year’s Golden Flogger Award winners. Remember, you can now submit your nominations for next year’s nominees.

And a very special thanks to our sponsors and supporters:

Instructors:  Traveling Fool, Ramon & Jinx, Naughtti boy and Troublemaker, Master Vito, Sir Guy and his slave, Sappharia, Bo Blaze and his family, and Eric Pride and his partner.

Sponsors: Dungeon Delights, DeTail Toys, Cris Anson, Smashwords, and Victor Tella.

And to all the authors who provided gift baskets and goods to raffle off.

And most of all, YOU, for joining us and sharing this wonderful time with me.

I look forward to seeing you at next year’s BDSM Writers Con either in Washington or NYC.

Live with passion,

Dr. Charley Ferrer
