BDSM Writers Con, Normandie Alleman, Charley Ferrer, bondage

Check out what Golden Flogger Award Nominee Normandie Alleman had to say…

Why did you begin writing BDSM novels?
I didn’t mean to write BDSM novels exactly, but I’ve always been a fan of bondage, and I relate to the Daddy Dom/little girl relationship dynamic so I kinda fell into it by writing what I thought was hot.

Do you participate in D/s activities or merely write about them?
I do participate, but only in private. My thing is mostly bondage and the D/s dynamic in the bedroom, but I have to admit to sometimes trying out other things for research purposes.

What is the hardest part of writing your novel?
With Poor Little Daddy’s Girl the hardest part was trying to get the firefighter part right. I’m the type of author that if my hero is going to be a firefighter I want to see him fight a real fire! So I had to figure out the details about how that would happen – that was important to me.

What does being nominated for the Golden Flogger Award mean to you?
Woohoo! It means somebody noticed my book! My fans are amazing and they always tell me how much they like what I’m writing, but it’s nice to be acknowledged by an organization as well. I hope it means I’m doing something right.

Tell us a little about yourself and your writing works.BDSM Writers Con, Normandie Alleman, Charley Ferrer, bondage
I am a former psychologist who now writes erotic romance novels that include bondage and a spanking. My heroes are alpha males who like dominating their women, and my heroines are feisty and independent outside the bedroom yet submissive behind closed doors. I recently release the first book in my new Web Master trilogy – Her Web Master- a novel about a jilted kindergarten teacher who meets an online Dominant who introduces her to the joys of submission via the internet and phone sessions. But she insists they never use cameras so neither of them knows what the other looks like.

Since I’m fascinated by psychology, I wanted to explore the things people do in secret that they would never do if other people knew about it. Mix that with how much of our lives we live on the internet these days, and I was inspired to explore a BDSM relationship that began online.

A former psychologist, Normandie has always been fascinated by human behavior. She loves writing quirky characters that are all too human. Fiber arts, baking, and Pinterest are a few of her favorite pastimes. A shamelessly proud basketball mom, Normandie lives on a farm with a passel of kids, an adorable husband, and a pet pig who’s crazy for Red Bull.
