We had a chance to Chat with Nese Lane nominated for the Golden Flogger Award 2016 for her novel, The Dom Delivers

 

Why did you begin writing BDSM novels?
For me, it is so much easier to write about things that turn you on the most. I also wanted to show how the sensitive Dominant does exist. Most people (not in the lifestyle) base their opinion on the fad/fan fiction that took the world by storm a few years back. There are so many different types of people each with separate and singular personalities. Once paired with another with whom you share a true connection, the options for pleasure through kink are endless, and I enjoy sharing those possibilities with the world.

Do you participate in D/s activities or merely write about them?
I have been active in the lifestyle for almost 4 years. I have the true heart of a submissive, have served my present Dominant for a year, and I am blissfully happy with our current situation.

What does being nominated for the Golden Flogger Award mean to you?
Being nominated for the Golden Flogger Award is an absolute honor, and I am humbled by the nomination. I hope the recognition will help bring my BDSM themed stories to a larger audience and therefore bring a brighter light to stories based on the lifestyle…written from experience, and or observance.

Where would you like to see the BDSM genre head? How will it get there?
I would love to see the BDSM genre listed in mainstream fiction. Not a romantic suspense with BDSM elements, or an Erotic romance with BDSM elements, etc.

What is the hardest part of writing your novel?
Staying on track with the plot/storyline. My characters sometimes have a mind of their own, especially the Dominants.

Tell us a little about yourself and your writing works.
I have a steaming hot love affair with coffee, work a day job, and squeeze in my writing whenever possible. I’ve successfully traversed the ups and downs of twenty-nine years of marriage with my amazing husband, and helped to raise three boisterous boys into handsome generous men.
