Kinky Chats with Lissa Trevor

Lissa Trevor, BDSM Writers Con

Check out what Lissa Trevor, Golden Flogger Award Nominee has to say about BDSM and more…

Why did you begin writing BDSM novels?
I wanted to bring BDSM into my romantic fiction. I think books like Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James, The Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day, and The Original Sinners Series by Tiffany Reisz helped paved the way to make the lifestyle intriguing and erotic for new people.

Do you participate in D/s activities or merely write about them?
I’m learning to be a shibari rigger. I identify as a Domme.

What does being nominated for the Golden Flogger Award mean to you?
I’m honored. I’m very excited that my work was considered entertaining enough to be nominated for an award of excellence.

What is the hardest part of writing your novel?
Sitting down and getting started. Once I’m at my desk and turn off all the distractions, I can write for a long time. It’s getting in the chair that’s a challenge most days.

Tell us a little about yourself and your writing works.lissa trevor
I like to write erotic paranomal romances and tongue in cheek — among other places — erotic mashups of beloved works of literary fiction. My debut novel, Spank Me, Mr. Darcy was both praised and condemned.

Will you be attending BDSM Writers Con or other events we can meet you at?
Yes, I’ll be at the NYC conference this year.

Lissa Trevor is an erotic romance writer with very few boundaries. She’s written a fictional tale of a real gigolo in The Vegas Virgin, and helped tell the story of an intersex love affair that turned into an adult movie in Going for the Gold. Not a stranger to controversy, her debut novel, Spank Me, Mr. Darcy, was a tongue-in-cheek (among other places) version of Pride & Prejudice. From LifeStyle Mirror: “Fans of classics and historical romances will appreciate this Jane Austen-meets-kink mashup, using Pride and Prejudice as the jumping-off point. Do you like bodice-ripping? Oh, there’s bodice-ripping, all right, and then some.” She steps into the erotic paranormal with her Loose-Id books Shifting Currents and Triad. Lissa lets you star in your own erotic story http://www.entwinederotica.com/valentwined in Coliloquy’s interactive Valentwined series. She is a frequent reader at Riverdale Avenue Book’s Between the Covers events. You can find her at lissatrevor.weebly.com.
