Why did you begin writing BDSM novels?
When I started writing in 2010, I began with a blog that covered everything from global events to political shenanigans to religion to SEX. When I wrote my first novel in 2013, it was a no-brainer.  Erotica with a twist of psychology was my ‘natural’ genre.

Do you participate in D/s activities or merely write about them?
Hmmm…now, that’s a loaded question, isn’t it?  I’m thinking it’s best to plead the 5th here. The fact is that anyone who’s read my work knows the answer.  Let’s just leave it at that shall we? 

 Where did you get your information on this lifestyle? 
Google. Kidding. I really want to say that I was ‘born’ with the knowledge. A few investigatory click many years ago cemented the fact.

What does being nominated for the Golden Flogger Award mean to you?
I’m tickled pink! (black & blue?)

Since writing The Mastered Saga, I’m pretty much ecstatic on a daily basis. The feedback is just…indescribably phenomenal.  Being nominated for a Golden Flogger Award is SWEEET icing on top of whipped cream and chocolate sauce. (Kinda like an extra SPANK for good luck!) 

Where would you like to see the BDSM genre head? How will it get there?
I believe that self-publishing is a two-edged sword. While it’s a great avenue for fabulous works, it also gives open access to folks who should never be allowed to publish anything – ever. 

That’s the sad truth – like it or not.  The genre gets choked out by a load of c-r-a-p that readers may not be interested in wading through.  Not sure if this answers your question.

What is the hardest part of writing your novel?
Not sleeping. lol

I take apart every word – every syllable – over and over. And over…

When I’m writing, my brain will not turn off.  I take 3 breaks a year – if only to get a good night’s sleep!

Tell us a little about yourself and your writing works.
I grew up, and still live on the frozen prairies of central Canada. I live alone, because I can.

I’m crazy enough to believe yoga and instant coffee keep me sane. My primary goal is to write a great story.  (Next, of course, is attaining world peace(.

I write romantic erotica novels and XXX novellas. I add a psychological edge which keeps the reader, on the edge of their seat (hopefully).

THE MASTERED SAGA has garnered hundreds of 5-star reviews. The 2-novel saga (Mastered, Trussed)  tells the love story of Missy Weaver and James Colton.  It’s seeds are planted in the fertile soil of Dominance and submission.
