Why did you begin writing BDSM novels?
The BDSM community is filled with beautiful souls, completely secure in their lifestyle. I wanted to show a side of couples who are completely in love and living the lifestyle. People tend to fear what they don’t understand. The more open people become, the more books written on the topic and the more people simply talk about the subject, the less taboo the topic of sexuality will become. Love is a beautiful thing. It needs an advocate.

What does being nominated for the Golden Flogger Award mean to you?
I’m speechless, especially since I’m nominated in the LGBT category. It means someone closed my book, and said, “Wow. That’s the best LGBT book I’ve read all year.” Even as someone who describes emotion for a living, I have no words for how deeply I’m humbled by that.

What is the hardest part of writing your novel?
Being on the roller-coaster of emotions. I always end up looking like a crazy woman. Asher and Rhys made me sigh, laugh, blush and cry. I did a lot of crying while writing their story. It’s hard to explain that to the people who live with me. I hate for anyone to see me when I’m such a mess, but I go through everything alongside my characters.

Tell us a little about yourself and your writing works.
I’m an award winning and multi-published author of over 60 titles with Ellora’s Cave Publishing, Punk & Sissy Publications, and Indie Publishing House LLC. Everything I write has a heavy dose of romance. I’m in love with falling in love.

Will you be attending BDSM Writers Con or other events we can meet you at?
I’d love to. Since I’ve only now learned of the convention, I’ll have to look into it, and try my hardest. As of right now, I’m scheduled to be in New Orleans July 30-August 1st at the Author & Reader Con. I love chatting with and meeting readers. Please feel free to look me up.
