Why did you begin writing BDSM novels?
I had a story to tell and characters to bring into this world. The lifestyle is an important part of my personal life, so it seemed like a good starting point to combine my love for storytelling and letting people know what’s possible beyond the occasional swat on the butt.
Do you participate in D/s activities or merely write about them?
Participate, and lovin’ it.
What does being nominated for the Golden Flogger Award mean to you?
It means a lot to me. It’s beyond great that we have an award for our genre, and to be part of that is like a dream come true!
Where would you like to see the BDSM genre head? How will it get there?
I’d like to see more realistic betrayal of BDSM, both in erotica and as a normal part of stories. Like characters who love the color blue, I hope that soon we’ll see submissives, dominants, and switches everywhere. I’d also like to see more diversity, also concerning preferences. There’s been a lot of “standard” portrayals done, now let’s get our collective freak on! That’s a logical progression, and I think we’ll make that happen soon.
What is the hardest part of writing your novel?
Letting go once it’s over. I’ve finished two series this year, and that was a lot harder than I thought it would be.
