BDSM Writers Con Featured Author
Why did you begin writing BDSM novels?
I started writing BDSM Novels because topic interested me as I started to explore the lifestyle myself. However, I wanted to also add a little more to the story lines than just seeing a submissive being flogged or a kinky scene. I aim to, every time I write a BDSM novel, to teach something about the lifestyle more than just show a scene. I try and show protocol or the emotional connection that is there between a Dom and sub. I try and incorporate those lessons into the flow of the narrative or the scene without hitting my readers over the head with them.
Will you be attending BDSM Writers Con or another event we can meet you at?
I will be attending the 2015 BDSM Writers Con this year, and I am co-presenting two panels as well geared toward writers of the BDSM/Erotica Genres. So I am looking forward to meeting everyone!
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on a few projects. The first is a three book hockey-themed BDSM series. I hope to have those out in 2015. The second project I am working on is a follow-up to my BDSM Devoured Club series and plan for two more books. The third project is the third and final book for my erotic Rocker series. Finally, I am super excited to begin a new BDSM themed Series. I can’t go into details yet- it’s a super-secret project!
I heard you attended the inaugural BDSM Writers Con 2014 in New York City. What was it like?
I did in fact attend the inaugural BDSM Writers Con in 2014 and it was also my inaugural conference attendance ever, so it was a first on both accounts. I rather enjoyed the conference and all of the live demos, along with the writer’s track. The best thing about the conference was being connected with like-minded people, both readers and writers alike. The conference allowed us to have a sense of security amongst each other and be more open than I probably ever would have. I learned a lot from the live demonstrations and felt the “field-trip” to the club was a nice added bonus. Overall, the conference allowed us to enjoy, learn and garner new friendships. I am very excited about coming back for 2015.
If you could share anything with us, what would it be?
I hate bridges! I am a submissive and I hate chocolate. I know I am crazy. 😆
