BDSM Writers Con
Golden Flogger Award Nominee
Why did you begin writing BDSM novels?
I read The Ice Queen by my Nightfall co-author, Joey Hill, and was hooked. I saw the beauty in the D/s relationships and the sexual excitement of BDSM play. My brain began to do magic tricks.
What does being nominated for the Golden Flogger Award mean to you?
It means that all my hard work and research to get it just right is validated, that I am writing something the D/s community accepts so I must be doing something right.
What is the hardest part of writing your novel?
The first chapter. Always. It’s setting that hook for the reader and creating the atmosphere for the rest of the story.
Tell us a little about yourself and your writing works.
I have been published since 2006 and my writing is both my passion and my job. I love creating stories, all of which are character-driven. I love exploring the What Ifs between people. I have written pretty much the gamut of erotic romance but the past few years have leaned heavily toward BDSM. I have a series, Rawhide, and another,, Club Fantasy, that are focused solely on the D/s relationships.
Will you be attending BDSM Writers Con or another event we can meet you at?
I don’t have my schedule fully set yet for 2015 but I will definitely be at the Wild Wicked Weekend February 19-22, 2015, in San Antonio.
What are you working on now?
I just completed another story in each of the series above and am working on a football series, my Naked Cowboys series, and a novella about Mardi Gras.
Do you practice what you write about with your partner?
I did when he was still with us. I miss him a lot.
What are your plans for 2015?
I hope to attend three Cons next year, but mostly I will be writing. I have several proposals contracted. And in August our whole family is taing a cruise to Alaska.
If you could share anything with us, what would it be?
That outside of my family the most important people to me are my readers, and the local BDSM community which has really embraced me.
What’s your latest (upcoming) book about?
Lassoed is another Rawhide story about a couple who meet at the rodeo. He is a Dom and she is a submissives, but neither of them know it. They have a strong sexual attraction and are both trying to figure out how to bring up their lifestyle to the other.
If you could try any BDSM activity or equipment, what would it be?
Florentine flogging. Defintely.
